Every year, we look forward to connecting with our fellow Percheron enthusiasts and sharing the breed with the public at the National Percheron Show. But given the the many event cancellations due to COVID-19, the PHAoA Board of Directors have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 National Percheron Show.

This was a tough call to make, the National Show is an incredibly important event for Percheron breeders and it’s one of our favorite ways to celebrate the Percheron horse. Like all other events which have canceled, we need to prioritize the health and safety of our exhibitors, spectators and everyone who is involved with putting on the event, also keeping in mind the Center for Disease Control’s concern for agricultural events and the potential for spread of the virus from person-to-person, person-to-animal, and possibly animal-to-animal. We explored other event venues, but the uncertainty of whether those events would occur weighed heavily.

We are exploring a virtual horse show for our youth/novice exhibitors to partake in, further information will be forthcoming.
