COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION
You must answer all the questions on the application form and you may attach additional sheets or a resume as necessary. Please make sure that you sign the signature line and that you obtain the signature of a parent or guardian if you are not yet 18 at the time of this application. Assemble all the sheets and mail in a normal non-expensive envelope. Do not send anything that requires a signature. No one is home during the day to sign for the item and the post office is closed when I return from work so obtaining your packet from the post office is very difficult and will have to wait for a Saturday morning. If you are currently in college, you will need to send us your college grades, otherwise, we are looking to obtain your high school transcript.
This Percheron Horse Association Education and Charitable Fund College Scholarship is worth a maximum of four thousand dollars over a four year time period to a full time student. Except for the first semester, this scholarship will only be paid after an official transcript of your grades has been received by the committee. The following requirements must be met in order to keep this scholarship:
1. The first two semesters of college you must obtain a 2.5 gpa.
2. Second year your must obtain a 2.75 gpa.
3. 3rd & 4th years, you must obtain a 3.0 gpa
If you are the successful candidate, the scholarship money will be sent directly to your school’s financial office. You will need to provide the committee with your institution’s financial aid office address and your account number. Please make sure that your grades are sent to us in a timely fashion starting in January of your freshman year so we can send your scholarship money each semester.
